hey look, a blog

Behold, minions, a blog! One of the most profuse species of the internet! Some blogs are incredibly sucessful (The Oatmeal, Hyperbole and a Half, The Bloggess, Cake Wreaks, etc.) and even turn into actual money-making enterprises. Can you imagine? But most just decend into Blog Purgatory; never updated, never quite forgotten, most certainly never read, and yet never deleted. So why do we continue to create these public online-diaries? Hope. Because of that tiny sliver of hope that you might be the next Matthew Inman or Allie Brosh. Golly Gee Willikers this is depressing. So anyway, this is a blog. I will try to be funny but I can't gaurantee anything. Also, you may ask why I'm going by the pen name Mary Magdalene, seeing as I am almost certainly not really the reformed harlot from the New York Times Bestselling Book, the Bible. I don't really know the answer, to tell you the truth, she just seemed like a pretty cool lady, and any friend of Jesus is a friend of mine, (except Judas, I just don't get that guy.)
